Skyscanner Launches A Useful Travel Restrictions Tool During COVID-19

For purposeful travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been really difficult to see the travel restrictions from your country to another.

It’s tough to determine where you can go, what their restrictions are, the level of those travel restrictions, and if you can enter that country.

In a recent search, I came across that Skyscanner, a popular flight and hotel booking platform, has decided to come out with a travel restrictions tool that is very easy to use for those interested in purposeful travel to have more information about where they can go and which countries have very restricted access.

You just simply go to Skyscanner’s Travel Restrictions Tool (currently in beta at the moment), pick which country you are coming from, and it will populate the map (see below)  for the places you can go to and the level of restrictions they are allowing at the moment.

They will even showcase the date that the information was updated as well, which is refreshed daily.

Above that, Skyscanner will also send you updates if you sign up to receive information about a country in particular and what their restrictions might be.

The data itself is from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and things are subject to change based on the government decisions of those countries.

Nevertheless, the tool will show you how many countries are low, moderate, major, and questionable with their restrictions and access.

Currently, from Canada, there are 23 low restriction countries that include Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Greenland, Italy, and more.

The Bottom Line

Whether you are daydreaming about where you want to go next or booking travel for a purposeful or mandatory reason, be sure to check out Skyscanner’s useful travel restrictions tool to know where you can go to next.
