Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance Is Set To Bring New Era of Luxury

Having something as beautiful as the background of the Georgian Bay needs a foreground that’s even more stunning. Completing the full painting of beautiful landscape is to have a foreground that’s just as beautiful. And that’s exactly what Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance is going to present.

On September 14th, 2013, you can experience this Canadian premier of this 17th century French flared high-society event including beautiful automobiles from the last 100 years. A century of beautiful machines surrounded by terrific waterfront backdrops? Definitely sounds like a great way to start your weekend.

“If ever there was a Pebble Beach of the north, this is it. Breathtaking scenery, wonderful countryside, and close to home,” says Steve Plunkett, renowned car collector, organizer of Canada’s largest car show, and special advisor to Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

If you love automobiles, grew up with posters up of your favourite italian stallion or convertible you have always wanted up on your wall, this event is for you. Over 100 cars will provide the perfect foreground to the overall ambience of coastal living.

Car collectors like Margaret Dunning, the 103-year old car collector and restorer, (yes, 103 years old!) will attend with her 1930 Packard 740 roadster amongst other works of automotive art.

True Patriot Love

One of the cars that gets our blood boiling is the 1978 Ferrari 312T3 F1 car that won Canadian Gilles Villeneuve his first Formula One Grand Prix!

The other Canadian beauty that will be Allard J2x MK II, which was crafted by hand in Montreal.

Even Jason Priestly will join the team of experts involved as Honorary Co-Chair!

Not to mention, the best thing about this event…it’s all for a great cause!

The proceeds of the event will go to Sunnybrook Foundation to fund a state-of-the-art helipad on the rooftop of the Toronto hospital. Of each of the 1,000 life-threatening traumas each year, about half arrive by helicopter. This will help shorten the amount of time to the trauma room and add time when seconds count.

“I am pleased to be involved in bringing a car event of this statute to Canada. The Sunnybrook helipad is an important cause, and one that is very close to my heart,” says Jason Priestly, Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance Honourary Co-Chair.

If you want to know the rest of the cars that are going to be there, you are going to have to attend the event and see for yourself. Put down your smartphone and experience and appreciate automotive history and how people had to drive, I mean really drive. Breathe it in, it’s going to be wonderful.
