This is the second generation of the Momentum True Wireless earbuds and they provide quite an improvement since the introduction of the product line.

The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds aim to not only fix the issues that the first generation’s pair had but take them even further.
With more of a work-from-home schedule, we have at the moment, the original Momentum earbuds provided high-quality sound for around 4 hours in total time. Now, they have been boosted to 7 hours and 28 hours when using the case, making it easy to go through a whole day.
The design is a lot sleeker, more size conscious than the originals. Although the size of the new ones still might not fit super comfortably for everyone’s ear size, it’s a smaller number of people that could face this issue. I, personally, was not between sizes and the fit was terrific. Additionally, when wearing them and shaking my head or partaking in exercise provided a warm hug of comfort inside of my ear.
I have to say, where these Sennheiser earbuds really shine is their sound quality and their features.
The Sound Quality From The Sennheiser Momentum 2 Wireless Earbuds
The sound quality is excellent. One of the best earbuds I have tried. They really nail the bass, mid-range, and instrument separation with their stereo sound. I am not surprised considering I have used Sennheiser microphones and audio equipment for larger-scale music operations and concert settings and they have outperformed most other equipment I’ve tried. The built-in equalizers help with balancing the sound and the adjustments you can make on the Sennheiser app gives you that extra bit of control over your sound, instead of some preset sounds that you have to choose from.
Active Noise Cancellation
If you are looking to stay focused, minimize distractions, and enjoy high-quality audio, this particular noise-canceling earbud set is great at what it does. Really helps me outside when I’m running and I hear a lot of traffic, construction pounding, and hammering, and other disturbances of everyday life. The feature provides a pretty crisp barrier compared to my music and the reality around me. This makes it much better for taking calls when you are out and about. Makes it easier to make out what people are saying underneath their masks too.
Transparency Mode
Transparency mode for the people who do not know is when you turn off the noise-cancellation and bring in the ambient sounds around you. This is good for if you are listening to music and you need to stop the music and hear the barista when you are placing your order, then you turn it off when you get your latte. It’s pretty effective too. Really a nice feature from focused, disruption-free audio to the world around you.
Additional Features
The Momentum earbuds make it easy for things like Google Assistant and Apple Siri to be used just with one touch of a button. The customized controls have a little bit of a learning curve to them, but once you get them, they make things easy to answer and exit from calls, change music, and volume. The Smart Pause feature I found to be great when it comes to taking out my earbuds and then putting them back on again.
The charging case itself is bigger than other earbuds, but I find that the material used will not only make your earbuds last, you will lose them within the case less and I find that the material isn’t likely to show wear with the canvas-like fabric used. That being said, I would welcome a smaller case.
The Bottom Line
The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless Earbuds are for those looking to stay active while not compromising their audio experience. The sound quality remains clean and extremely pleasant to listen to with the noise-canceling and the ambient noise with transparency modes will the prevention of “hums?” when someone asks you something or tries gets your attention. We would recommend this product to those who look for sound quality or for anyone looking to level up their earbuds or coming from the original Momentum earbuds.
