Treccani Milano’s Bold and Beautiful Bespoke ShoesWhat happens when you bring the freedom to be creative and actually build something you love, instead of building somebody else made?
That something is beautiful, conversational, luxurious, one-of-a-kind, rare and your own, that something is shoes made by Treccani Milano.
Located in heart of Yorkville, Treccani Milano brings style, elegance and power to the end user by giving you the ability to build your own custom shoes based on your how you want it to be.
First off, you have to pick the style of shoe that you want. This is one of the most impressive things about this company, the variations you can make! The combinations are absolutely endless with what you can come up with for your next pair of shoes. You can choose from a variety of colours, finishes, stitching, soles, leathers, suede, threading, and size. It’s incredible.
Trecanni Milano provides 40 different types of leather, 25 different types of suede and multiple stitching patterns and colours, so you will never have the same pair of shoes twice.
Secondly, you have to be measured. Every shoe is completely different in size and shaping compared to the last pair, so the customer needs to be measured by the staff to determine the perfect size. Have you ever been between sizes in shoes? This eliminates that problem entirely.
The process to these shoes are just as impressive as choosing the different attributes of the shoes. The Artisans crafting the shoes are based in Milano, Italy, where they hand make and craft each shoe completely to the customer’s request and specifications. The shoes are made completely from scratch and are uniquely stitched. The process of crafting these bespoke shoes takes 8-10 weeks, but it is well worth it.
When buying high-end shoes, or even other types of clothes for that matter, there is a threat that the clothes or fashion accessories can be copied. But, this isn’t the case for Treccani Milano. The stitching, techniques, and quality that you can get with these shoes, and how they are crafted can only be done by the Artisans that make them. The weaving on the stitching, the colouring of the leather, the completely custom palette of colours and finishes mean that each and every shoe is completely one-of-a-kind.
You can choose from a variety of different styles and materials that compliment or become the focal point for whatever you are wearing.
You can choose from a variety of different types of leather including: Rugged Fashion Leather, Alligator Leather, Ostrich Leather, Betis Leather, Patent and ‘millerighe’ leather, and much, much more.
There is also a variety of suede you can choose from to add some more variation to your shoe collection. Do you already have a solid brown or black leather type of shoe? You can mix and match leather and suede to create virtually endless combinations.
If you want to have your shoes stand out and make an entrance, there is no better way than being in control of your own style.
The End Result:
With all of the finishes, hand made quality and all the man hours it takes to make these shoes, the end result is spectacular. The colour coming from the shoes are rich, the meticulous stitching techniques and how the leather is cut is precise, and the designs are one-of-a-kind.
This goes as a lesson to shoemakers, when you go bespoke, it’s hard to beat it.

The Bottom Line:
After visiting this store, it’s really tough to envision another shoe beating it. The pre-made shoes you could get from other stores could be nice, well rounded and stylish.
The owner, Emanuele Bonasia, asked us a thought-provoking question, “Do you know who made your shoes?”
It’s a simple question that lots of people don’t have an answer for. Products exchange hands all the time from production to store, that you lose the personality in the product.
But to the customers of Treccani Milano, Emanuele knows who made your shoes. He spent time with them in Italy. He knows the person that made what you are wearing, personally. This is something that completely sets them apart. Of all your clothes in your closet, technology that you own, shoes that you have bought, do you actually know the person has made them? Probably not.
Be sure to visit the store, spend some time there to learn about the different leathers, be educated, and take it all in. It’s worth the story.
