The tagline from the BlackBerry release states ‘Engineered Luxury Meets Powered Performance’. But is that true?

Not too long ago, BlackBerry was the go-to phone for business and fast interaction with applications built in like BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), fast email response, and high levels of security. But with the introduction of big named competitor’s like the iPhone and new Samsung Galaxy SIII, the business phone now has different definitions and capabilities.

BlackBerry is an instantly identifiable product and has a loyal fan base, so introducing a product such as a Porsche Design P’9981 will have a lot of customer demand from high-end and diehard customers. The unmistakable QWERTY keyboard is moded and fitted to fit the new design and styling of the rest of the phone. The crystal clear touch display is responsive while the Wikitude World Browser provides a great Internet experience. Even the handset includes a premium and exclusive PIN that is exclusive to the customer who purchases the P’9981.

Here is what the CEO of Porsche Design Group, Dr. Juergen Gessler, has to say about the P’9981,

“Porsche Design has been a symbol for Iconic Style since 1972. And the brand new P’9981 smartphone is a milestone product for Porsche Design. It is a representation of the iconic Porsche Design styling philosophy and RIM’s technology-driven focus, which combine to deliver engineered luxury and powered performance in a smartphone for the discerning consumer.”

Under The Hood

Under the hood are a 1.2 GHz processor and Liquid Graphics™ technology which produces graphics smooth as silk and Porsche quick. Some of the other features of the phone include HD video recording, 24-bit high-resolution graphics, sensors that enables the ability for more augmented reality applications and built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. Compared to previous years of BlackBerry phones that just had room for a couple of applications, this has a lot more breathing room with 8GB of memory.

Need more space than that?

Well, you can also reach up to 40 GB with a microSD card, that should be able to last you and your data for a couple weeks, right?

The P’9981 runs the latest BlackBerry® 7.1 operating system and offers all the exceptional communication tools that BlackBerry is famous for, the email, the quick messaging, and social apps. So whether you use it for social media, quick emails responses or compositions, or running businesses, this is a good way to do all of those things in style.
