The Hästens Grand Vividus Bed Just Might Be The Best Sleep Of Your Life
When was the last time you have had the best sleep?
Picture yourself having a wonderful night’s sleep, where everything aligns perfectly. You wake up fully rested from sleeping. Actually, rested. Loads of energy, positive feelings, and body feeling like it’s full of recovered power. Let’s say if this feeling went on for a month, a year, spread over 5 years or 10.
How would you feel then?
How much is that feeling worth to you?
Is that worth more than a luxury car?
Would you rather have that than jewelry collection of your all-time favourite watches?
Would you rather spend that than on a small vacation home?
Sleep and energy is all dependant on how you look at it. How important it is to your life. And for a highly-rated Swedish bed company, it comes at a price. And to warn you in advance, it’s a high one.
Before I tell you the price of this grand singular bed, let us break down the construction.
Hästens is a Swedish bed maker that has been making high-quality, luxury beds for over 168 years. It has longevity, the feedback, the customers, and the know-how for crafting luxury beds for a very long time.
These beds are not cheap in any way nor light in weight.
Introducing The Hästens Grand Vividus Bed
With creating the world’s most luxurious bed, you have to do some planning first. Hästens went up to the Canadian border to pair up with a Canadian designer to take on this challenge, one that has worked with Canadian Royalty, like Drake and Wayne Gretzky. His name is Ferris Rafauli and he has really outdone himself with the work on this mattress.
A Collaboration With Canadian Designer Ferris Rafauli
Ferris Rafauli decided to use polished wood, fine leather, suede, and brass for the base of the bedded throne, letting Hästens take care of what they do best, the mattress and the box spring.
The Hästens Grand Vividus Bed Construction
Each of these beds is handcrafted through an extensive 600-hour crafting process to hand assemble, hand-stitched, and completely constructed.
Drake had first dibs on the first Grand Vividus and he mentions that sleeping on it ‘lets him float’.
To ease you into the price, the Hästens bed company’s pride and joys start at $10,000 USD. So is the world’s most luxurious bed close to $10,000? Nope, not even close.
The first edition, the Vividus, take took 240 hours to make, set you back to the investing price of just over $273,000 CAD ($195,000 USD). However, that would be the first edition with only 240 hours crafting this bed, this Hästens Grand Vividus bed has 600 handcrafted hours.
How much is probably the best sleep of your life on a night-in and night-out basis?
That will be an investment. But, have in your mind, that you spend 8-10 hours of your day sleeping. More than your car, more than your home, and more than probably anything except for your house.
Okay, I’ll stop reasoning with you and tell you the price. Remember, possible best sleep of your life. Okay, okay. \
It’s just over a cool $691,000 CAD ($490,000 USD).
One more thing, there is actually a waiting list. So, you might want to get into line now.
The Bottom Line
If you want the best sleep of your life, you have got to pay the price. The world’s most luxurious bed has arrived and its to the tune of an impressive 600 hours of work. I’m most proud of the fact that a Canadian Designer has a wonderful collaboration with a world-renowned brand.
Congratulations on your collaboration, Ferris Rafauli.
